Priyanka   : Hi Manoj!

Anuradha  : Hello priyanka ! 

Priyanka   : I'm sorry I'm a bit late.

Anuradha  : Oh, never mind. I haven't been here long either.

Priyanka   :  Did you order some food ?

Anuradha  : Yes, I did. I ordered a sandwich for myself and a vegetable burger for you.

Priyanka   : Thanks .I really love vegetable burger ! 

CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS AT COLLEGE

Mansi   : I'm very hungry. Let's go to the canteen and eat.

Anjali   : okay! would you like to have a samosa and cold drink?  

Mansi   : No, I don't really like samosa . I'd rather have idly and sambhar.

Anjali   : Let's go  and order .

Mansi   : Look, Anjali. some students, over there, are eating vada and sambar. shall I order two plates? 

Anjali   : No, I don't want vada and sambhar. I'll have a burger.

Mansi   : waiter, please get us a burger and a plate of vada and sambar. 

CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS AT SCHOOL

Rachit   : congratulations, Shreya! you won the three -legged race. 

Sanaya : Thanks. My partner, Suhail, was running very slowly. I had to tell him to keep up with me .

Rachit   : I lost the egg and spoon race. The egg fell and I stepped on it as well.

Sanaya : Don't feel bad. you'll win the next time.

CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO CLASSMATES

priyanka   : I really enjoy English class. we read a lot of interesting stuff and there are so many activities and discussions. 

Manoj       : I enjoy the group discussions. I have slightly different views on more subjects and everyone waits for my ideas. 

Priyanka   : I prefer talking to the partner . It's less noisy and we can be more focused. Group discussions are too heated for me. 

Manoj      : I like it best when the teacher explains. I love to listen to her. 

Priyanka   : That's being passive. We should have a mind of our own. I love expressing myself. 

Manoj      : you just love talking. But I love your iconoclastic ideas. 

Priyanka   : Wow !Where did you pick up that word? it's a mouthful .

 

CONVERSATION BETWEEN CUSTOMER AND SHOPKEEPER

shopkeeper  : welcome to our store . How may I help you sir ? 

Customer    : do you have toys for 8 years old boys? 

shopkeeper : certainly. We have toys for all ages. Is it for your son? 

Customer    : Uh, no, no. It's for my friend's son. It's his birthday tomorrow.

shopkeeper  : Boys at that age usually like cars and aeroplanes. Would you like to see some of those ? 

Customer    : No, no. He has many , many cars and aeroplanes.

Shopkeeper :Then maybe some construction toys ? many children like those.

Customer    : okay. that's a good idea. can you wrap it up in some colorful paper? 

Shopkeeper : sure sir, I will gift wrap it for you while you pay at that counter. 

Customer     : Thanks a lot. 

Shopkeeper  : you are welcome, sir. Come again.
