Number of Seats
The recruitment offers a total of 548 seats. These are divided between two departments:
Secondary Education Department: 500 posts (439 unreserved, 61 reserved)
Sanskrit Education Department: 48 posts (44 unreserved, 4 reserved)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Rajasthan Librarian Grade III position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized university.
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 to 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for reserved categories as per Rajasthan government norms.
Exam Pattern
The selection process includes a written examination consisting of two papers:
Paper-I: 200 marks (Duration: 2 hours, 100 multiple-choice questions)
Paper-II: 200 marks (Duration: 2 hours, 100 multiple-choice questions)
Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks prescribed for that particular question will be deducted.
Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%, with a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates.
